I know there are some guys in here that love to fuck around with v-8s. This promises to be a interesting class. The hitter cars will probably stick to the 10.5 heads up class, so some of us have a shot at doing well in this kind of class.

Separate then men from the boys for sure.

Nobody? Calgary guys should keep in mind that the guy putting this on is the Pres. of the SARDA (guys building tailwinds). When I stopped by the shop the other day I was chatting and when it gets built, this and the 10.5 outlaw class will be their main focus. So when race city closes this could be the premier event in Southern AB on a weekly basis with P2P style events to mix it up.

They also want to target the 1st time racer. Make him feel welcome, ie. drivers meeting every night before racing and having a guy walk them through what to do.

Lot's of heads up racing with the queer bracket racers whining. Sounds good to me.

I want to go, but can't commit to anything as I don't even have a running car yet. I don't even have a put together car yet, heck, it's not even moveable.

I think you're missing the point of this class. It's going to be unpredictable. Most of the guys have run those times on wider tires.

Should be fun to say the least, I think it'll pay off with getting lots of runs in for cheap.

They got 11 cars out tonight. Not enough for the 2 classes, so they ran one. At least I wasn't the only one not ready to rumble. Track was sketchy (as always on first night) so they cut back to 1/8 mile.

They had a car in this class go sideways and roll a couple of times and make it down the track on its roof. Driver walked away from it. Thats what can be expected the first day of the year. I put down a 13.934 @103.63 last night.
