Hey Guys,

Just doing my winter homework for my SRT-4 that is put away for the winter (and its a long winter lol) I have a 2004 Stock SRT-4 with 80K on it and its time to upgrade a few things on it.

I am looking at socks and struts for it, new tires and light light engine mods. The car lives in Yellowknife and does a run once a year down to Edmonton and Calgary. It's a daily driver during the summer. I don't plan on anything crazy as next year I plan on a re-paint and maybe more engine mods. I am also planning to buy a house so I can't get into a spend thrift mood for it at this time.

So my questions are simple: I priced out a few Mopar goodies for it and would like to get your take on suspension stuff. I priced out the coilovers (stage 2) Vs coil springs (stage 1) BIG BIG price difference, ($1300 vs $240) It's probably a no-brainer that the coilovers do a better job, but for a daily driver how much better will a new set of springs with struts be vs the stock? are coilovers worth the difference?

The Other stuff I am wonder about is the strut tower braces? I priced out the Mopar Steel Vs the Titanium ($123 Vs $372) Should I do this? is the Titanium that much better?

I am looking at spicing up the motor with a BOV and CAI, BOV - $ 66 and CAI is $435, any good?

Any tips suggestions will be great, thanks!

Trust me, coilovers are not always you're best bet. Cheap coilovers are much worse than lowering springs and even stock struts. After having bought $3500 coilovers, I would much rather have my Eibach Pro-kit springs and decent struts for the street. And the best strut tower braces for the money are the DC sports. Fit, finish and function are all top notch + they're cheap. I have also had problems with a couple of aluminum CAI's(AEMs are garbage). Molded plastic CAIs are the way to go. I love my AFE intake(although it is for sale).

Mopar parts aren't bad, but they are overpriced. Have fun modding, these cars can be great with some work and careful planning.

Thanks for the info!

What struts would you recommend? Coilovers are nice but not what I am looking for at this time. For the strut bar, is it wise for going with front and rear? Font only? or just skip this mod?

For the CAI, I will keep yours in mind! what are you asking for it?

thanks!

Which coilovers did you pay $3500 for?

Hotbits gravel coilovers with compression and rebound adjustment, camber plates and remote reseviors. In many ways I have been very disappointed with these coilovers. Hoping to buy some KW clubracers this spring.
